# Motiro

Motiro is not a generic engagement survey. Motivation runs on three
psychological needs—autonomy, belongingness, competence—and the leadership
and environment around the team determine whether those needs get met. The
24-question Moti survey takes 5 minutes and produces four scores (Motivation,
Needs, Leadership, Environment) across 15 metrics. AI-powered "journeys" turn
the results into issues, causes, and a concrete action plan; teams resurvey 12 weeks later to
measure change, creating a continuous improvement cycle.

- Aggregate team results with response thresholds; managers never receive individual ballots

## MCP Integration

Motiro exposes an MCP (Model Context Protocol) server at
`https://motiro.com/mcp` that AI assistants can connect to directly. Uses
OAuth 2.0 with PKCE for authorization—users grant access through a consent
screen in the Motiro app. Organization access can include team-member names
and contact details; the screen identifies every requested permission before
the user approves it. Individual survey responses are never exposed through
MCP.

- `get_workspaces`: List all teams and circles the user can access, as a nested tree
- `get_team`: Get detailed team info including members, surveys, and parent circle
- `get_circle`: Get circle details including constituents, council, and member count
- `get_survey_data`: Get motivation analytics (scores, distributions) for a team or circle
- `list_surveys`: List all surveys for a team with status and dates
- `list_journeys`: List AI-powered improvement journeys for a team or circle
- `get_journey`: Get journey details including detected issues, causes, solutions, and status
