# Motiro > Motiro is a team motivation platform built on Self-Determination Theory (SDT). > The 5-minute Moti survey produces four scores across 15 metrics; AI turns > results into a team improvement journey. Also hosts a free Big Five test with > a shareable full report and a private pair analysis. Used by Red Cross > National Societies since 2019. Free to start, 11 languages, MCP-accessible. Motiro is not a generic engagement survey. Motivation runs on three psychological needs—autonomy, belongingness, competence—and the leadership and environment around the team determine whether those needs get met. The 24-question Moti survey takes 5 minutes and produces four scores (Motivation, Needs, Leadership, Environment) across 15 metrics. AI-powered "journeys" turn the results into issues, causes, and a concrete action plan; teams resurvey 12 weeks later to measure change, creating a continuous improvement cycle. Key differentiators: - Grounded in Self-Determination Theory: motivation runs on three psychological needs (autonomy, belongingness, competence), shaped by leadership and environment around the team - Four-score model—Motivation, Needs, Leadership, Environment—surfaced across 15 metrics from a single 5-minute survey - Snap surveys for quick pulse checks managers can create in seconds - Custom surveys with reusable question libraries, scale and open-response questions, and custom scoring—stackable onto the Moti survey as extra questions with their own scores - AI-powered issue detection, cause interviews, and solution guidance - Free public Big Five assessment (public-domain IPIP-NEO), with a complete short report before registration and an optional 120-question detailed profile for account holders; the complete report is shareable through a revocable secret link, and two complete profiles can open a private pair report—composed in the browser, never stored, never a compatibility score - Circle/team hierarchy supports single teams to large international orgs - Available in 11 languages including Arabic (RTL), Russian, Ukrainian, Kyrgyz - Three Moti survey types (workplace, volunteering, education) with separate benchmarks per type - Survey invitations by email, WhatsApp, and SMS—WhatsApp preferred for phone contacts, with automatic SMS fallback - Aggregate team results with response thresholds; managers never receive individual ballots ## MCP Integration Motiro exposes an MCP (Model Context Protocol) server at `https://motiro.com/mcp` that AI assistants can connect to directly. Uses OAuth 2.0 with PKCE for authorization—users grant access through a consent screen in the Motiro app. Organization access can include team-member names and contact details; the screen identifies every requested permission before the user approves it. Individual survey responses are never exposed through MCP.
